TIDE & TEETH Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the mobile game TIDE & TEETH (the "Game") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Game is published by Zhan Rushman LLC, doing business as MATRIXBUNNY ("we", "us"). If you have questions, contact us at support@zhanrushmanllc.com.
In short: we do not ask you to create an account, we do not run our own servers for the Game, and we do not sell your personal information for money. The Game shows ads through Google AdMob. Ads may be personalized only if you allow it, and you can change that choice at any time.
1. Information stored only on your device
The Game saves your best score, settings (such as language, sound, music and haptics), challenge progress and ad-frequency counters on your device. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the Game deletes it.
2. Information handled by Apple
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the Game submits your scores to Apple's Game Center leaderboards and shows your rank and the Game Center display names of other players. Apple processes this under Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive your Game Center display name and scores only to show them in the Game.
In-app purchase
The optional "Premium" purchase is processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. The Game checks with Apple whether you own Premium so it can remove interstitial ads and unlock Premium benefits on your devices, including through Family Sharing.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the Game shows ads from Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Ads appear only when you choose to watch one (for example, to revive) or between runs. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- device identifiers, including Apple's Identifier for Advertising (IDFA) only if you allow tracking (see section 5);
- IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version);
- ad interaction data (ads shown, taps, completion of rewarded ads);
- diagnostic data about ad performance.
Google uses this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Players who buy Premium no longer see interstitial ads.
4. Sharing and friend challenges
When you tap Share or Challenge a friend, the Game creates an image of your result and a link. The challenge link contains your score and your Game Center display name, if you are signed in. Nothing is sent until you pick an app or contact in the iOS share sheet, and the Game does not see who you shared with. If you choose to save the image to Photos, the Game asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It cannot read your existing photos.
5. Your choices
- Tracking (iPhone): iOS asks whether the Game may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared and ads are less personalized. You can change this any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: before personalized ads are shown, the Game displays Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform). You can review or change your choice any time from the Game's Settings › Privacy options.
- US state privacy rights: where showing personalized ads counts as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under state law (for example, in California), you can opt out through the Privacy options in Settings or by declining tracking.
- Game Center: you can sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings. The Game remains fully playable without it.
- Remove ads: buying Premium removes interstitial ads. Rewarded ads are never forced.
6. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies: we and Google rely on your consent for personalized advertising and for storing or reading information on your device for advertising. Non-personalized ads and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests. Purchases rely on the performance of a contract.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not hold an account or player data on our own servers, most requests are best handled directly by Apple (Game Center, purchases) or Google (advertising). You can contact us and we will help. Google offers ad controls at My Ad Center. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and is not listed in the App Store Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will work with Apple or Google to remove it.
9. Retention and international transfers
Information on your device stays until you delete the Game. Apple and Google retain data according to their own policies. Google and Apple may process information in the United States and other countries, with safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
